Grant Attempt

My Proposal:

I took a vacation recently to reset, and the memories I held dear were those engulfed in nature. This lead to the idea for this work. Kansas City is full of active people that enjoy the outdoors, and in this pandemic, getting outside is one of best things to do while practicing social distancing. Our respect for nature is lacking, and nature is fighting back. We need to unify in this need to grow and heal as a community, harmonize in empathy and love, to move forward in all aspects in life, before nature comes at us with a lasting threat to our lives.  So, for this project, I’m proposing harmonizing our need to come together with respect and remembrance to what came first. Highlighting the animals unique to KC, within silhouettes of people interacting in ways that show love, unity, harmony, and healing; within the outline of these critters. Humanity is getting a big head, sucked into so much drama, heartbreak, and adversity. Take a true chill pill, and bring it back to nature. It’s always a great comfort to know your place in the world.

Depending on if we’re allowed to mix these primary colors to make others, the representations will be true to their colors in nature. If that’s not the case that is no problem and only the five colors will be used with the outlines/silhouettes represented in white.
