“Meant to Fly”

I would have completed it yesterday but there were quite a few things going on in the Westbottoms as well as a band outside. With this being a pandemic, I thought this would not be the case. Then today it seems all the antique shops are bringing more cars. I had planned to do another level of detail but I chose this location for visual popularity and the fade effect of people driving over it, since not enough people care in real life. Oh well, putting it down made my 4th of July an uplifting one.

In support of my many friends going through it, much ❤.

“Strange Fruit”

A memorial plaque stood in KC's Ermine Case Junior Park that directed people to the knowledge of a racist injustice so it may never happen again. A black man that was lynched for a crime he didn't commit in the 1880s. Sunday that plaque was hatefully decapitated and tossed over a nearby stonewall.

In honor of that effort I created a bigger work of art and if it moves you to do the same let me know. I have two 20lbs of chalk for you to speak your truth, so chime in.

A hard morning usually requires caffeine but orange juice is refreshing. Not the title but it reads with the visual:

"Strange Fruit”

The strange fruit you made us into out of fear with no care

for understanding turned into hate. Those hateful actions

made us stronger than you anticipated, capitalizing on

that fear. Aren't you tired of that cycle?

“Alien D***”

Wish I had primary colors in the set but oh well, plenty of orange because that’s chalk for ya. I felt like Trump has put so much of our Nation’s money into space, literally into outer space, that he's sucking on Alien D____. So this one is as literal as possible.
